Our selection process


Once you’ve applied, we’ll send a notification to confirm receipt. If you don’t get this, please drop an email to recruitment@quantuma.com and we can check it came through safely. The next stages in the selection process are: 

A member of our team will personally review your application in line with the role you’ve applied for. We’ll aim to do this as quickly as possible, but it might take a little while, as we often receive a high volume of applications.

If your profile is a match to the role, we’ll be in touch to arrange an introductory conversation. And if it isn’t on this occasion, we’ll let you know. We’ll also let you know if there’s an alternative position we think you might be interested in.

At this stage, there’s an initial conversation with a member of our internal recruitment team to answer any questions you might have about the role. If we (and you) think there’s a match, we’ll move on to a more formal interview.

Your development and progression is just as important to us as the business itself – we have high aspirations to have the very best team out there. From your induction on day one to industry certifications further down the line, you can expect 110% support from every corner of the firm.

We usually aim for two interviews – either both by video call or one by video call and the other in the form of a face-to-face meeting (where possible). During these interviews you’re likely to meet two to four different members of the team you could be joining. We’ll make sure that these take place at a time convenient to you and with plenty of notice so you can prepare accordingly.

What should I wear to my interview?


We have a ‘dress for your diary’ ethos when it comes to our ‘dress code’. We’d say an interview is a meeting so we’d encourage formal business-attire when attending, just as you would if you were attending a meeting with a client.


What questions will you be asked?


First and foremost, this is an opportunity for both parties to learn more about one another. With that in mind one of the most important things is to be yourself. We’ll want to talk about the skills and experience you have relative to the role you’re interviewing for, what you know about our business and what you want from your next role / career and how we can help you achieve it.

As we’ve already mentioned, we want to learn more about you – we won’t be trying to catch you out so just be your natural self.


  • Listen carefully: make sure you understand the question before answering, take a moment before answering – taking a sip of water gives you some time to collect your thoughts. It’s also OK to ask for a question to be repeated, just not all of them.
  • Ask questions: you need to make sure you like us as well; this is a two-way conversation. Research what we do, our history, our people, your interviewers (we’ll tell you who they are beforehand) and ask us some questions about anything you want to learn more about.
  • Breathe: OK, we appreciate that sounds a bit silly. But we know interviews can be a nerve-wracking experience. If you feel a case of the jitters creeping up before your interview, just take a couple of minutes before you enter the office / pick the phone up / log on for the video call and take a few deep breaths whilst remembering that you’re having this interview because you have what it takes.
